Studying full-time at Central Sussex College

Full-time students

Central Sussex College is made up of a number of campuses across Sussex. We offer academic and vocational qualifications including AS/A levels and BTEC at our Sixth Form Haywards Heath campus, and BTEC, Apprenticeships and NVQs at our Crawley campus.

These qualifications are offered in a wide range of subjects and are available to study either full or part-time. With over 6,000 students choosing to study with us each year, we are one of the largest providers of further and higher education courses in the South East.

At the Crawley and East Grinstead campuses, the focus is on practical learning through vocational programmes. Excellent facilities exist to ensure all of our students receive a real-life insight into what it’s like to work in their trade or industry: bricklaying, motor vehicle, health and beauty, catering or hairdressing, and many more. All of our courses are delivered by staff with extensive educational and industrial experiences and remain focused to help their students achieve and succeed in their personal and career ambitions.

See how the Heart Breakfast presenters got on when they visited the Crawley campus to try their hand at cupcake decorating and plumbing!

It’s not just about the work! There’s a wide range of enrichment activities and student discounts too.

Links to the wider business community

We work extensively with local employers and businesses to ensure that the work-related skills our students learn are the ones employers need. These courses are delivered in college and in the workplace.

Our on-site Job Shop matches vacancies with prospective apprentices and consistently has 30 new local apprenticeship vacancies in over 25 subject areas every month. The highly experienced team also provide advice on how to compile your CV and hone your interview skills.
