Get involved!

Being at college isn’t just about learning – it’s also the perfect opportunity to develop new skills and make new friends!

If you’re studying full time at the Crawley campus, there’s no excuse but to get involved with a wide range of fun enrichment activities to suit your particular interests and career aspirations. The annual enrichment activities calendar will give you a flavour of what to expect.

Get your voice heard!

We believe that student representation is essential in all areas of College life. It is important to us that you feel involved and consulted every step of the way in your learning journey.

Get involved in helping to decide what goes on at the college by joining the Student Executive. It’s the brains behind all student events and trips, so it really pays to be involved! The Executive meets regularly to discuss important student issues and looks after arranging trips, parties and events throughout the academic year. Previous students have enjoyed trips to theme parks, freshers’ fairs, Karaoke, BBQs, weekends away and charity fundraising.

Class Representatives

Each year during the autumn term, participants of every full-time course elect a student to represent the views and opinions of their class and provide a link between course leaders and students. These class representatives can also represent the course and/or Faculty at Learner Voice meetings with Faculty Directors.

As a Class Representative, you will gain an enormous sense of satisfaction and valuable skills. You could see your ideas turned into reality, improve your communication skills, embrace teamwork and make new friends. You’ll also receive training in relevant key skills – all of which looks great to potential employers and on university applications.

Clubs and Societies

When you join Central Sussex College, you will have the chance to join a number of clubs and societies which are either run by the College or set up by other students. You will have the opportunity to find out more about these during Freshers’ Week which is held in September each year. Previously these have included sports teams, ICT clubs and book groups.

Fundraising and awareness events

Our students are a generous bunch and there are many opportunities throughout the year to get involved with fundraising and awareness events.
