Organisations who take on an apprentice aged 16 to 24 can claim a grant of £1,500 to help cover start-up costs.
The AGE 16-24 grant is available to companies who employ up to 50 staff if they have not taken on an apprentice in the previous 12 months, and can be claimed for up to 5 new apprentices. Available until the 31st July 2017.
You don't have to recruit them all at once, just indicate how many you plan to hire when making your claim.
More information on the AGE 16-24 grant can be found on the National Apprenticeship Service Employer Fact Sheet.
