There are excellent facilities at Central Sussex College designed to make the most of your time studying at our sixth form campus in Haywards Heath.

Hub Theatre

The Hub theatre, at our Haywards Heath campus, mirrors a professional working theatre environment. Part of a recent £30million campus redevelopment, it uses the latest industry-standard technology to provide students with an outstanding theatre space in which to perform.

The Hub can seat 220 and alongside this there are two rehearsal studios and a dance studio. The seating capacity will vary depending on the configuration. The Hub is already being used to provide students with a professional theatre environment. However, these great new facilities can also be hired by outside organisations wishing to find a performance venue.

Information and Learning Technology

Using computers will be a key part of your college learning experience. Extensive classroom IT facilities exist in a number of subjects such as:

The College Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) provides material to support learners' studies, including self-study modules and access to the internet for further research.

Library and Resource Centre

The Sixth Form Haywards Heath campus has an attractive and well-equipped Library, providing a quiet area for self-directed study. Well-stocked with up-to-date books, the library also offers a wide range of current newspapers, magazines and journals, videos, audio tapes and DVDs, as well as photocopying, laminating and binding facilities. All loans are free of charge, networked computers are available for research on the internet, and there is a wide range of online resources including 120 e-reference books, national newspapers, a Modern Language resource, and Britannica Online.

College Shop

General stationery is on sale at the College Shop at cost price. There is also a comprehensive range of specialist materials to help art and photography students with their studies.

Common Room

The Sixth Form Haywards Heath campus has a bright and airy common room where students can relax and meet friends. Hot and cold drinks and snacks are accessible all day and meals are available at lunchtimes in the new food court.
