Entry Requirements:
Entry is subject to acceptance by the course tutor. There are no formal entry requirements but you must possess basic numeric and literacy skills.
Course Content:
You will study vocational units which focus on the use of computer applications in business.
You will also study Personal and Social Development Skills and Functional Skills of English, Maths and Information Communication Technology (ICT)
Outcome of Course and Progression:
BTEC Level 1 Diploma for IT Users
Stepping stone to Level 2 IT Courses.
Cost:
16-18 year olds will not have to pay tuition fees, awarding body registration or exam fees. However they are required to pay for other third party costs, such as books, equipment and educational trips/visits.
Students aged over 19 on the 31st August in the year in which they start their studies, have to pay tuition fees. In addition they are expected to pay awarding body registration and exam fees, other third party costs, such as books, equipment and educational trips/visits.
Some students may be eligible for a fee concession, although in most cases some element of the fees will have to be paid.
Please note: Other costs (books, uniforms, trips, materials etc) will be £100.00
