Assessment of Experienced Construction Workers - NVQ Level 2

Qualification: On site assessment can lead to various qualifications within the construction industry at levels 2,3 and 4. All courses are accredited by either CSkills, City and Guilds or Edexcel.
Duration: Most programmes are run over a 1 year duration depending on experience.

Suitable For: This course is suitable for experienced construction workers in the industry who do not yet have a qualification at Level 2 and wish to obtain a CSCS card. Successful completion offers progression to NVQ Level 3. Candidates must be employed in the specific occupations to which their NVQ relates. If you are working for a company subscribing to the CITB, grants are available to your employer.
Entry By: Interview
Entry Requirements:
The candidate must be able to provide evidence of working within the industry for at least three years. This may be provided through a short interview with an assessor at their place of work. They must also be able to demonstrate that they can cover the range of work required to complete within a set time frame.
Course Content:
Most routes expect the candidate to provide forms of evidence to support the various competences of the chosen route
The assessor will provide guidance through the process and various forms of evidence can be put forward such as letters, photographs, records of interviews and conversations with the assessor. Also work documents such as drawings, delivery notes and various other job practices can provide acceptable evidence.
Other Details:
The course does not require the candidate to purchase any learning materials. All assessments are carried out in the work place during pre-arranged meetings. Cost will be decided on the amount of visits required and experience of the candidate. There may be funding available for candidates meeting certain criteria.
Outcome of Course and Progression:
The outcome of the course will be a full NVQ which will also allow the candidate to apply for a CSCS card. Progression will depend on level entered.
