Entry Requirements:

You should be at least 16 years of age with three GCSEs at grade C or above or four GCSEs at grade D and be able to demonstrate the aptitude and enthusiasm for a career in fashion retail.

Course Content:

The course is an exciting and innovative programme of study. It covers 12 units of study which will provide you with the practical skills required for the fashion retail industry. These include visual merchandising, personal shopping and style as well as underpinning knowledge of the fashion retail sector and the use of technology. Assessment combines practical industry-relevant assessment alongside more traditional academic methods.

Customer Service and Selling for Fashion Retail
Technology for Fashion Retail
The Business of Fashion Retail
Visual Merchandising - Store Presentation
Buying for Fashion Retail and Merchandising for Fashion Retail
Marketing and Public Relations for Fashion Retail
Personal Shopping and Style

Other Details:

Trips to retailers (such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Liberty, Selfridges and Dover Street Market), also fashion shows and master classes from industry specialists.

Outcome of Course and Progression:

ABC Level 2 Diploma in Fashion Retail. Progression onto Level 3.

Cost:

16-18 year olds will not have to pay tuition fees, awarding body registration or exam fees. However they are required to pay for other third party costs, such as books, equipment and educational trips/visits.
Students aged over 19 on the 31st August in the year in which they start their studies, have to pay tuition fees. In addition they are expected to pay awarding body registration and exam fees, other third party costs, such as books, equipment and educational trips/visits.
Some students may be eligible for a fee concession, although in most cases some element of the fees will have to be paid.
Please note: Other costs (books, uniforms, trips, materials etc) will be £200.00
