STOP PRESS: From April 2012 companies with fewer than 50 employees who take on their first young apprentice (aged 16 to 24) can receive up to £1,500 towards the cost of training (paid in two instalments).
In today’s economy, apprenticeships are a cost effective way to train a new or existing member of staff, who will learn industry relevant skills on the job and achieve appropriate qualifications while spending a minimal amount of time away from the workplace.
As one of the largest providers of apprenticeship training in Sussex, we manage over 700 apprentices for a range of companies such as Crawley Borough Council and The Hilton Group - so you can rest assured you and your apprentices will be in experienced hands.
Why choose us to recruit and manage your apprentice?
- We’ll identify both your company and individual training needs and develop a personalised training plan
- We’ll develop training leading to nationally recognised qualifications for both existing staff and new recruits
- We adopt a flexible approach
- We’ll provide ongoing guidance and support to your employees
As a result of this, our candidates achieve excellent results on their programmes, with success rates well above the national average.
If you need help recruiting an apprentice, our Job Shop provides access to a wide pool of candidates from which to choose, and we’ll support both you and your apprentice throughout the recruitment process and beyond.
Our apprenticeship training agency service provides employers who cannot commit to a long term relationship with an apprentice the chance to benefit from their skills and enthusiasm on a more flexible, short term basis for the duration of the apprenticeship framework. It allows you and the learner to ‘try before you buy’, with no increase in headcount or recruitment and selection costs.

If you’re looking to recruit an apprentice in an industry sector not currently listed, please contact us as we may be able to help. Our apprenticeship in Signmaking was developed as a direct result of employer requests, so we are keen to work with employers individually, and as a sector, to develop new apprenticeship opportunities.
