Entry Requirements:
Candidates must hold a City & Guilds Level 2 in Beauty or equivalent.
Course Content:
To have a successful career in Beauty Therapy you will need to start work within a salon and train towards becoming a beautician. You will need to gain both practical skills and a recognised qualification and an Apprenticeship will allow you to achieve both.
The Apprenticeship programme enables you to work towards a Nationally recognised Qualification.
As well as working on the theoretical aspects of Beauty Therapy, you will be given the opportunity to participate in practical sessions which will lead to assessments for which you will be responsible for arranging models.
The Level 3 NVQ diploma, as part of the advanced apprenticeship, is suitable for beauty therapists with relevant salon experience wishing to extend their knowledge and prepare for a more senior position. The optional units within the level 3 NVQ diploma will cover more complex beauty therapy techniques.
Cost:
This programme is fully funded for 16-18s, however there is an employer contribution for 19+ learners.
Candidates will need to supply their own tools and must wear protective clothing and suitable shoes in the Beauty Salon.
