Advice session to answer apprenticeship questions

The advice session for employers takes place in National Apprenticeship Week
An advice session to be held at Central Sussex College will give local employers the chance to find out more about apprenticeships.
The event, which is being held during National Apprenticeship Week, will give local business people the chance to ask any questions they have about taking on an apprentice, and find out more about the advantages of the scheme, both to the apprentice and the employer.
Staff from the Employer Services team will be on hand to discuss the £1,500 grant announced recently to encourage small business owners to take on their first apprentice. There will also be an opportunity to find out how the College's Job Shop can help with recruitment and selection.
Central Sussex College is one of the largest Apprenticeship providers in Sussex, and supports apprentices in businesses both large and small across the region. In news just announced, it is working with Gatwick Airport Ltd to introduce an apprenticeship programme and hopes that other organisations considering implementing apprenticeships will use the advice session to come and find out more about how similar schemes could benefit them.
The College is also inviting those interested in becoming an apprentice to come along to the event. The informal session will take place on Wednesday 8 February from 5-7pm, at the College's Crawley campus.
