College goes green this November!

The Future Car Challenge comes to the College!
Calling all motoring enthusiasts!
This November, the College's Crawley campus will be celebrating all things green, as it welcomes the first ever RAC Brighton to London Future Car Challenge.
On Saturday 6 November, a fleet of the latest electric, hybrid and low-emission (under 110g/kg CO2) internal combustion engine vehicles will make a pit-stop at Central Sussex College where the vehicles and their drivers will get a chance to re-charge their batteries (in many cases literally!), before completing the 57-mile route from Brighton to London. The aim of the challenge is to complete the route with the lowest energy impact, within a given time.
Already Delta, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Smart, TATA, Tesla (pictured) and Vauxhall have entered vehicles into the challenge, along with green vehicles belonging to Transport for London and the Energy Saving Trust.
A must for motoring enthusiasts, not only will visitors be able to check out the vehicles taking part in the rally, there will also be a further display of green transport and energy-saving products on display as part of the Power of Green exhibition, hosted by the College.
The event takes place on the day before the annual RAC London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, on Sunday 7th November, and will hopefully become a permanent fixture in the motoring calendar!
