Crawley LRC
All full time students are offered an induction to the LRC which is arranged by your tutor at the start of term. Staff will explain how to use the resources in the LRC and will also be on hand to help with your research.
The LRC has more than 30,000 items available for loan to students and staff. The LRC's stock includes journals, CD ROMs, newspapers, videos, DVDs, audiotapes and CDs and books. Also available are items from our Careers, Skills for Life and Popular Fiction collections. In addition, there is a wide range of online resources available both within the college network and from home. Study areas are available in the LRC for quiet individual or group study.
You may bring bags into the centre but please remember not to leave personal items unattended. Food and drinks are not allowed in the LRC. Mobile phones are allowed if muted.
Students are able to use the computers situated within the College LRC. All computers are loaded with Microsoft Office and other course-related software. Technical help is available for minor problems, although technicians are unable to offer advice on individual coursework assignments.
All computers have headphone sockets but students must provide own headphones.
Internet access is available free of charge to all students. View LRC disability information.

Inter-library loans
If a resource you need:
- Is on the catalogue, on the shelves, but not at the campus you are based at, the LRC staff can request it from another site. The resource can generally be at your home site by the next day.
- Is not on the catalogue, the LRC staff can request the item from the British Library. These requests can be fulfilled within the week if the British Library has it on the shelves, but high demand items can take longer. For this facility students are asked to pay 50p towards cost.
