Corporation Members - Clive Behagg

Professor Clive Behagg is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Provision). He is responsible for all of the academic programmes offered by the University, including those in partner organisations. His responsibilities include the systems for the quality assurance of the academic provision and its operation. He is the Chair of the Academic Standards Committee, the Learning and Teaching Committee, the Academic Management Team and the Student Forum.

He is also seconded to work for the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) as a Review Chair, and an Auditor, in which capacity he participates in the Institutional Audits of other Universities and leads academic reviews of HE programmes in Further Education Colleges. Clive holds a Personal Chair in History at the University and, among other works, is the author of Politics and Production in the Early Nineteenth Century (Routledge 1999) and Labour and Reform 1815-1914 (Hodder 2000).
