Corporation Members - Gill Marshman

Gill is the Salon Manager of Central Sussex College’s largest Intuition hair salon.

Gill has been with the College since 1995 (then Crawley College) after working in all aspects of the hairdressing industry. She started her training at the London College of Fashion and Clothing and later at Crawley College and, having been a student here as well as member of staff, Gill has experienced first hand the impact of excellent vocational training on establishing a successful career. She owned and ran her own salon for 12 years before joining the College as a lecturer.

Gill has been a member of the Hairdressing Council since 1970 and is a former executive member of the National Hairdressers Federation. She is a member of the Association of Hairdressers and Therapists (AHT) and is heavily involved in organising hair and beauty competitions for students.

Gill is a member of Central Sussex College's Finance and Operations Committee.

Originally from Surrey, Gill has lived in Horsham for the past 10 years and is married with two children and three grandchildren. Her hobbies include socialising, cooking and gardening.
