This year's Children in Need appeal urged us to 'Do Something Different' and staff and students at the College stepped up to the plate with an array of innovative and wacky fundraising activities that ran throughout the week 16-20 November.

At the Crawley campus, several events took place, including a week of fundraising activity by first year BTEC Media students. The enterprising group decided to hold their very own 'Rag Week', with a different theme for each day, including Crazy Hats, Heroes and Villains, and a neon theme. They collected cash from staff and students at the main reception, and around the College buildings, and held a photographic exhibition on Friday to display pictures that they had taken of themselves throughout the week.

Other activities at the Crawley campus ranged from 'Boardroom Bingo' for The College Leadership Team, to the ladies from the Faculty of Health and Community Learning who donned their tutus to dress like fairies for the day, ran a cake sale, made and sold scarves and held a sponsored silence. Students from Access to Further Education also took part in a week long event, participating in activities such as 'Teddy Bears Picnic', 'Name the Bear' and 'How many sweets in the jar?'

The other campuses were also on board for Children in Need. Students from the Haywards Heath campus were sponsored to wear their pyjamas to college for the day, and brickwork students based in Burgess Hill took part in a fancy dress karaoke spectacular, which was a sight to behold!

The money is still coming in and has yet to be counted, but well done to everyone who took part this year!
