Staff from the Food Court and Le Cordon Vert celebrate their five star success!

The College went straight to the top of the class after Crawley Borough Council awarded both Le Cordon Vert and the Food Court a dazzling five stars for food hygiene in the latest 'scores on the doors' rating.

This is the second five star rating in a row for Le Cordon Vert, which was also awarded top marks in 2008, and a first for the College's Food Court, which previously held a very respectable four stars. Andrew Bull, Head of Catering at the College, was delighted that his team have been awarded the maximum score, saying "It's a fantastic achievement, due to a lot of hard work from the Catering Department."

Launched in Crawley in April 2008, the 'scores on the doors' scheme provides food hygiene ratings for over 580 premises in the Crawley area. The five star rating represents truly excellent standards, and is awarded in recognition of outstanding cleanliness, food handling and storage practices, confidence in management, and overall business monitoring systems. At present, just 9% of premises rated in the area have scored five stars.
