College named ‘Wella Professionals Centre of Excellence’

Hairdressing tuition at Central Sussex College is now a cut above the rest, after top brand, Wella Professionals, awarded the College with their prestigious 'Wella Professionals Centre of Excellence' status, in recognition of the standard of facilities, and high quality of training on offer.
Paul Oscroft, national Key Account Manager for P&G Salon Professional, which produces the 'Wella Professionals' brand, visited the College, along with Wella Professionals Area Technician Lacey Foster, to present staff and selected students from the department with a plaque, and the latest Wella Professionals branded merchandise, to be used in the Intuition salons at the College's Crawley and East Grinstead campuses.
Just 30 colleges in the country have been awarded the Wella Professionals Centre of Excellence status, and the accreditation signifies a two-way commitment between the College and Wella Professionals. Director of the Faculty, Mary Wiles said "It is an honour to be recognised as one of the 30 Centres of Excellence in the country, the team have worked incredibly hard to develop and maintain high quality training in hairdressing. Staff value the professional development and support opportunities provided through the College's close relationship with Wella Professionals."
With the partnership now in place, the College will not only be entitled to receive all the latest Wella Professionals marketing materials, it will also be able to benefit from the latest professional advice and products, and the credibility within the industry that such partnerships can bring to both staff and students. Paul Oscroft, who himself started his career as a trainee on the Wella Professionals programme, explained that the benefits of the partnership extend back to Wella Professionals, as forging a strong brand relationship with students at this stage, can lead to a lifelong association with the salon owners of the future.
