The National Student Survey runs every year
A recent survey among learners in Higher Education has ranked Central Sussex College number one for learner satisfaction among Further Education colleges in England and Wales.
The National Student Survey, which is carried out annually by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE)*, was completed by over 250,400 students nationally, studying Higher Education courses such as degrees, HNCs and HNDs at both universities and colleges across the country. As part of the survey, respondents were asked whether overall, they were satisfied with the quality of their course. Central Sussex College received a 97% positive response to this question, which puts them ahead of any other FE institution in the country, 20% ahead of the national average, and 6% up on the results from 2009.
Maureen Kilminster Deputy Principal for Teaching, Learning and Quality said: "Central Sussex College is widely known for its range of Further Education opportunities, but the results of this recent survey show that when it comes to Higher Education we are also delivering courses of a very high standard - we are thrilled that our students have placed us number one in the country. These results have highlighted why we're perfectly placed to work with Higher Education partners to become a regional centre for higher level skills training."
