Sign Language is just one of the courses on offer
Prospective students interested in joining one of the hundreds of adult and community learning courses available through Central Sussex College's adult education centre in East Grinstead this September, can secure their place on a course now.
From Cake Craft to Computing, Languages to Latin Dancing, there's a wide range of interesting courses for leisure and pleasure now open for enrolment.
New courses for this year include: Discovering Archaeology, which is run jointly with the University of Sussex, and explores the archaeological history of Britain and beyond through classroom activity and fieldwork; Sussex Landscapes, also run in conjunction with the University of Sussex, which studies the complex mix of landscapes found in Sussex; Art - New Beginnings, which introduces the basics of drawing and painting through a range of subject matters; and Origami, which is a beginner's guide to the traditional Japanese folk art, with an opportunity to make paper decorations for celebrations throughout the year.
For a free prospectus call 01342 321874 or pick up a copy from Central Sussex College's East Grinstead Central campus in Queens Road, local post offices, major bookshops and East Grinstead library, or click here to view an electronic version.
For those thinking about learning a new language or developing existing language skills, improving literacy or numeracy, or brushing up on IT and computing, the Consultation Evening, which will be held on Thursday 6th September, between 6.30 and 9pm is the ideal opportunity to speak to a tutor before enrolling on a course. Tutors will be on hand at the East Grinstead Central campus to answer questions about courses, give advice, and offer further information to prospective students.
