Louis Lewin receives his certificate from Robert Else
Staff from the Faculty of Technology are celebrating the success of three trainee engineers who have successfully completed their apprenticeships while working in the Faculty.
While helping to run the motor vehicle workshops at the Crawley and Burgess Hill campuses, Chris Simons completed his Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and in doing so, became a valued member of the team - so much so that the College is keeping him on to complete his Advanced Apprenticeship.
Louis Lewin has completed his Apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering, alongside Jonathan Taylor, who has just left the College after securing a position at Village Engineering in Charlwood, Surrey. Louis is using the Job Shop to help secure a new position which will enable him to do his Advanced Apprenticeship.
The Faculty's WBL and Commercial Team Leader Robert Else said: "Jonathan and Louis have been valuable assets in both the Machine shop and the Fabrication and Welding workshops. Chris has become an integral part of the Faculty and always goes above and beyond what is expected. All three apprentices have gained valuable new skills, providing them with an excellent start to their future careers. They are all hoping to progress to their Advanced Apprenticeship and we wish them good luck in their future careers."
