The group pose with their certificates at Virgin Atlantic’s training centre
Two groups of Travel students from the College's Crawley campus recently landed at Virgin Atlantic's training headquarters, at The Base on Manor Royal, Crawley, for a customer service training day.
Students on the Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Travel & Tourism attended, along with Travel & Tourism Lecturers, Gill Harrington and Joanna Tavares.
With both groups of students currently studying modules in 'Customer Service and Selling Skills', the training day was both timely and extremely useful for them. Virgin Atlantic Customer Service staff informed the students about their work ethic, about customer service policies and the skills they use daily in their roles, and about what they believe makes them the professional company they are today.
A particular highlight of the day was some fun activities organised by Virgin Atlantic staff, which included role-plays to enable students to put their existing knowledge into practice. The students thoroughly enjoyed the full-day course, and appreciated the opportunity to learn some new skills in such a prestigious company.
