NVQ Awards ceremony marks students’ success

Central Sussex College celebrated the achievement of its Faculty of Health and Community Learning students at an NVQ awards ceremony on Wednesday 25th February.
Held at the College's Crawley campus, the evening recognised over 200 NVQ students for completing a variety of courses including Childcare and Health and Social Care.
Students attended the ceremony to receive certificates from Gillian Delahunty from City & Guilds, in front of family, College staff and special guest John Peel OBE, Chairman of Central Sussex College's Corporation.
College Principal Dr Russell Strutt, welcomed guests to the event, which also saw speeches from Maggie Foster from Surrey PCT, and three of the evenings successful students, all of whom work in various sectors of the care industry: Adeoula Adeshnya who was awarded Level 3 in Health and Social Care; Victoria House who completed her Level 3 in Oral Health Dental Nursing; and Viesturs Dude, who was awarded his Registered Manager's Award.
