Students from Central Sussex College's Sixth Form campus in Haywards Heath visited Holland during July to witness science in action.
The 38 students, who are all studying on one or more of the College's AS Science courses, departed on their four-day study trip to Noordwijk, in Southern Holland, on 1st July.
During their visit the students visited the Pernis oil refinery and Heineken brewery, a cheese farm and the European Space Agency to experience how science takes place in a variety of different industries and contexts. The group also enjoyed free time in Amsterdam and a tour of the City's famous canals.
Andrew Cornall, Curriculum Area Leader for Science at the Sixth Form campus, commented, "This is the ninth study tour to Holland that we have organised over the years and this trip has been the best by far. It was superb and thoroughly enjoyed by all!"
