An exciting future
At our Crawley campus, there are fully developed plans, subject to government funding, on an exciting redevelopment, with around £60m being invested in a multi-phased construction project to provide training facilities fit for the 21st century.
Press Release - Master plan for College site proposed.
You can view a selection of images from the plans in the master plan gallery.
If the master plan is approved, by the LSC, the campus will boast specialist training facilities for a diverse range of subject areas, a centre for higher education which will support higher level skills training, and a bright and vibrant public access area including hair salons, a beauty spa and a contemporary public restaurant.
Other features include an all-weather 5-a-side pitch, a fitness suite, a sensory garden for students with disabilities and learning difficulties, a corporate centre specialising in short courses for adults in employment and wi-fi zones in all common areas.
Since outline planning approval in December 2007, a new initiative has been proposed to expand the breadth of education and training at the campus. This would see the conversion of the existing Tower Block, ear-marked for sale by the College, into a university centre for Crawley, focusing on higher level adult skills to support the economic growth in the Gatwick Diamond sub-region.
The new accommodation will complement the existing Longley building, which was completed in summer 2006.
You can view the construction of the Longley Building in the Longley building gallery.
