An exciting future

The first phase of the building programme was completed in summer 2006 and saw the construction of the Longley Building, which houses state-of-the-art facilities for the teaching of practical construction skills including plumbing, electrical (including AM2), gas installation and maintenance. The Longley Building also features extensive modern classroom accommodation, a wealth of IT facilities and flexible space for conferencing and hospitality.

Central Sussex College looks forward to the continuing improvement of the campus and facilities in the near future. The master-plan drawn up for the Crawley campus includes a complete re-build, and other extensive improvements to the campus and facilities over the next few years. Despite gaining outline planning approval from the authorities, Government funding was not in place to complete these improvements to the original timeframe.

At this time, the College is undertaking a review of its options to seek funding and to revise these original plans where necessary.

The fully-developed plans, which are now subject to review this year, outline the College’s vision for the future.
