Learning Difficulties and Disabilities
Many people with few or no qualifications or no experience of full-time education may need additional or discrete educational provision, supported by specialist staff. Central Sussex College offers students with learning disabilities an informal and friendly environment where they can extend their education.
It is College policy, where appropriate, to integrate students with learning difficulties into educational programmes and encourage them to play an active role in the social and recreational activities of the College.
For further information please contact our Disability Adviser on 01293 442265 (Minicom).
The College and its environment should be accessible to everyone and we specialise in providing in-house support for students with impaired sight or hearing, dyslexia, or those recovering from illness. We have recently commissioned DisabledGo - an organisation designed to help disabled people into education and employment - to assess our College for physical and sensory access to all our campuses and services, which should empower disabled people to judge the disabled access to the College by providing them with useful information. For more information visit the DisableGo website.
The College publishes an annual Disability Statement which can be obtained from Learner Support Services - call 01293 442329 or email info@centralsussex.ac.uk.
