Funding your course

One of the main benefits of studying a Higher Education course through a college is that the fees are often lower than you would pay at university.

At Central Sussex College, our degree-level courses are priced very competitively and our convenient campus locations mean that most students are able to live at home while studying in order to keep costs down.

Fees

Fees can be found in the information section of each course page. Please note that fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change as a result of Government funding policy. Where a course lasts for more than one year, the price for the second and any subsequent years will be subject to increase.

No up-front fees

Tuition fees for full- and part-time courses eligible for Student Finance England loans do not need to be paid up front. You can apply for a low-interest tuition fee loan which is paid directly to the college and does not need to be paid back until you are earning £21,000 or more.

Mode of study Tuition fee loan
Full-time Up to £9000
Part-time Up to £6750

Correct for academic year 2016-17.

Students from EU and some non-EU countries may also be eligible for tuition fee loans. Please call our Admissions team on 01293 442269 or visit www.gov.uk/studentfinance

Financial Support for UK students

If you are on a low income, have a disability or have dependent children, you may be eligible for extra financial support while you study in the form of loans of bursaries. Please discuss this with our Admissions team at the time of your application.

Funding for Access to Higher Education students

Students applying for an Access to HE course at Central Sussex College may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan – a low interest, repayable loan available to students aged 19+. Like a tuition fee loan, this is paid directly to the college by Student Finance England and does not need to be repaid until you are earning £21,000 or over. If you go on to complete a university degree, your Access to HE loan will be written off.

Additional Costs

There may be costs that you have to pay in addition to tuition fees, depending on your chosen course. These could include buying books, equipment or specialist clothing to meet the requirements of the course. There may also be class trips to enrich your learning experience. The college may be able to provide financial assistance with these costs, please speak to Student Services at the time of your application or at any time during your studies.
